@Kendal,

To answer your question, "who brews a cup of coffee anymore?" I brew a "cup" of coffee on most mornings in my french press. That's one of the best things about most french presses is the ease with which you can make a small amount. No use producing enough coffee to service a small midwestern gas station when it's just you and maybe one other person drinking it.

I recognize that most people have standard coffee makers and tend to make "pots" of coffee, but I prefer making mine in smaller amounts in a french press. You should try it, you may like it.

Cameron,

I've been a lurker of your blog, as well as 'Art of Manliness', for awhile. Big fan here.

My first (and perhaps last?) comment: who brews a cup of coffee anymore? I haven't the slightest how to brew a CUP. However, do know how to brew a POT of coffee. And I drink the whole pot. That's manly. I do not recognize the "cup" as a unit of measurement as a coffee connoisseur.

I don't even drinkcoffee anymore, but I know how to make a good cup! Lol, I was taught this art by my girlfriend and definitely have to thank her for it. French press is by far my favorite method. Now I brew loose leaf tea that way and it works just great.
