My good friend Beau Suder is in Africa right now for three weeks beginning what I hope will be a very fulfilling course of study in international development. In honor of him and in light of the fact that the past couple weeks have seen me working late hours and unable to post much, here is a sentence to ponder via Marginal Revolution:

Please do not wipe us out!!! Rather stop all space programmes, programmes trying to solve the Big Bang or programmes trying to discover where we all come from. It’s costing tax payers globally billions and billions of dollars just to satisfy some scientists’ curiosity! Rather help poor countries with education etc. etc. etc. ! Will South Africa also be wiped out!????
